When I came to the Daytona Beach area 41 years ago, Halifax Health Medical Center was my hospital of choice and it still is today. I find the new technology in the Radiology department to be especially helpful to me and to my patients. My personal interests outside of medicine include flying and golf.

Biography: As a pediatrician I enjoy the opportunity to care for the area's youngest residents. I approach each as an individual, using evidence-based medicine. In the past, I have been privileged to practice medicine in Kenya. Currently I am a clinical faculty member for third year Florida State University medical students completing their pediatric rotation. I chose Halifax Health Medical Center because its pediatrics program is top-notch and its location is central to the Funcoast. This has been an extremely rewarding experience for me. When I am not seeing young patients, I enjoy travel and reading.

Mrs. Pat Burt is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner(CPNP). A CPNP is a registered nurse who specialized in well children supervision (birth through adolescence), assessment of growth and development, and treatment of minor illnesses. She received her BS degree in nursing from Loyola University in Chicago and her CPNP certificate from the University of Virginia. She also has her Masters of Science degree in Women's and Infant's Nursing for the University of Florida. Mrs. Burt is a board certified nurse practioner and a Fellow of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners.
